First Things First.

Most folks know that creative layering – in a room, on an end table, across a bed – is what gives a room true character. At Brooke & Birdie, when we’re creating a new space for a client, we typically move from bottom to top, layering and layering and layering again. After measuring and discussing color and style options, we like to begin with the floor covering or rug. The personality, depth, and tone of a room can be built around it. And, with so many options – from wool and silk to cotton and hides, just to name a few – there is something for everyone’s lifestyle and preference. Here are a few of our favorites for 2020 – all very different, but all amazing and just awaiting a new home. Yours, perhaps?

This texture-heavy Sisal Tiger Eye from Masland is strong and durable and is available in five colors and a wide range of sizes.
Missoni’s Zigzag Green offered by Bolon has got us dreaming up a cheery sunroom.
This gorgeous Oriental Khorassan Antique rug from Stark is just waiting for a traditional library or entryway.
Talia by Stanton makes a subtle yet strong statement for someone looking for a bit of flair.
